The Basics Aren't Basic
One of the problems that instructors face, is that a lot of students want to learn advanced skills before they have mastered basic ones. Another problem is that many students (and some instructors) do not realise that the best way to advance is by regularly practicing the basics.
The basics are the basics because they teach the foundational skills upon which all of the more sophisticated skills are based. So the more you practice things like:
⦿ Improving balance.
⦿ Relaxing deeply.
⦿ Paying attention to your movement.
⦿ Paying attention to your breathing.
⦿ Moving slowly and smoothly.
Then the better your Tai Chi will become.
Are there shortcuts, yes, practice more, and take the time to practice properly.
